This is an official accountability post.
I have practice Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays with games/tournaments on Saturdays. The plan is to run to and from practice every day (2.5 miles each way), lift arms on Tuesdays after team dinner, and lift legs on Thursdays after team dinner. Fridays after we eat I figure I should rest for the game the next day.
Mondays and Wednesdays will be my intense cardio days: hills, stairs, sprints, the like.
Sunday will be a long recovery run or a swim - nothing too intense, since (as all prop forwards, and most rugby players in general, can attest) the day after a match is generally a rough one.
And now that I’ve said it, I have to stick to it.
